Membership

The Buckhorn District Tourist Association would like to invite you to become a member.

Our mandate is to promote tourism and the tourist trade in the Buckhorn area.

Our Membership Year is September 1st to August 31st

These are just a few of the great reasons you should be a BDTA member:

• Facebook – we can promote your business and special events

• Receive notification about key issues that affect our community and your business.

• 20% off ice and swag sold only at the Welcome Centre.  Please place an advance order for large quantities

• Over 8,000 visitors walked through the door of the Welcome Centre in 2023 asking for referrals to local businesses, such as accommodations, restaurants, plumbers, electricians, firewood, lumber, etc.

• Display your business cards, rack cards, and brochures at the Welcome Centre.

• Your business and contact information is included in our annual Tri-fold brochure that is distributed throughout the year.

• BDTA publishes an online newsletter with important information and upcoming events.

• Your business name is also included in the “Explore Buckhorn & Area” tourist guide which is distributed throughout Southern Ontario plus a 5% discount for display ads.  You must be a member by March 1st of the current membership year to be included.

• All BDTA members are eligible to be linked to “Peterborough & The Kawarthas Economic Development”

• As a BDTA member, you are welcome to join the board of directors and/or attend monthly meetings.

Joining the BDTA is easy.  Call the Welcome Centre at 705-657-3288 to set up your payment or return the attached membership application form with a cheque or credit card number.
